Our Concepts

We're a small custom jewelry studio focusing on personality and design, bringing out interesting shapes and uniquely cut stones. In this age of chain stores, mass-production, cost-cutting and sacrificing quality, we go against the grain, producing one-of-a-kind pieces, striving for character and craftsmanship.

We have several directions that we work in.

Architectural Jewelry vs Natural Jewelry

Two people, two viewpoints, two sources of inspiration - this dichotomy makes our partnership interesting and balanced. Culture versus nature, symmetry versus asymmetry, human genius versus force of nature. Architectural jewelry references our cultural experiences and encounters with different eras and styles - from ancient ruins to industrial skylines, from classical buildings to modern sculpture, from art deco sophistication to the simple charm of a rustic church, it incorporates a multitude of concepts, designs and patterns. Natural jewelry stems from, well, nature - everyday beauty that surrounds us, organic shapes and textures.

Bronze

We love working with silver but often experiment with other metals, from iron to brass to bronze. The latter is especially pleasant to hold and touch, and with time it develops a nice patina. We do various etchings in bronze, and recently have ventured into small scale sculpture.

Metaphysical stones

Gems have always captivated people's love and interest, often appearing at the focal points of jewelry pieces. While there are many, many standard choices, we go out of our way to find interesting stones - unusual shape and cut, color, or inclusions are very attractive to us. Sometimes, we build our jewelry so that the metalwork serves as a simple frame for the beauty of a unique stone; other times, we use the shape and color of certain stones to underline the concepts we are trying to bring forth.
